I'm wondering where in the world is my entertainment correspondant. I saw rumors from an old cover of US Weekly that Nick and Jessica are getting divorced. Is there truth to this? Please, someone, let me know.

So much for a happy Thanksgiving! Late Wednesday, over-scrutinized Hollywood couple Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey announced, after months of speculation, that they had decided to separate. In what appeared to be an attempt to dodge coverage during the holiday (no such luck, the Today show was all over the story early Thursday morning), an official statement was issued late Wednesday night, and the couple's press reps were unavailable for further comment on Thanksgiving. The statement, submitted "exclusively" to Us Weekly, read: "After three years of marriage, and careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways. Oh Eoin, stop being such a cynic. She *saved* herself for Nick, you know. After 9/11, I thought that nothing could keep them apart.
9/11 kept them together? Well shit, theres someone who has obviously forgotton.
I heard about the 'saving' thing. Wasnt that posited as the main reason why mr Lachey agreed to get married in the first place? Maybe having sex with someone more worried about their hair and nails just got a bit boring. For both of them.
